In conjunction with the national Vesak festival, a discussion regarding the Vesak festival program of the State Ministry of Home Affairs was held on 27.04.2023 under the chairmanship of State Minister Mr. Ashoka Priyantha.

A Vesak week has been declared from May 2nd to May 8th for the Vesak festival in the year 2023, which is 2567 years of Sri Sambuddha.

Many staff officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Colombo District Secretariat, and Timbirigasaya Divisional Secretariat were present for this discussion.
