The opening of the "Norwood Divisional Secretariat" in Nuwara Eliya District took place on 29.05.2023 under the chairmanship of Mr. Jivan Thondaman.
According to the new delimitation, 30 domains have been separated from the 67 Grama Seva domains that belonged to the Ambagamuwa Koralaya Regional Secretariat and the Norwood Regional Secretariat.
On this occasion, Member of Parliament Mr. Maradapadi Rameswaran, Additional Secretaries of the State Ministry of Home Affairs, Ananda Vanninayake, K. G Dharmathilaka, Nuwara Eliya District Secretary Nandana Galabada, and a group of government officials were present.
